Together with the corresponding lecture we'll offer tutorials every week. We hope that our students will benefit from studying and discussing the related topics of system architecture within smaller groups. Two types of assignments will be offered: homeworks and programming assignments.
In addition to the conceptual solutions, being offered in the lecture, we want to develop alternative solutions in the homeworks, compare and evaluate them, in order to prepare students for the design of modern systems. We also plan at least three programming assignments using the teaching OS platform OS/161.
One goal of these tutorials is to deal intensively the topics of the lecture. On the other hand these tutorials may motivate interested students to think about new approaches in system architecture. This means, the more the commitment of the participants the better the performance of the tutorials.
